Life Path Number = 6

January 9, 08

Name: Nur Izzati Binte Mohamed Zain
Born on 28th May 1989

Life Path Number is 6.

What is the Life Path Number? Your Life Path (sometimes called Destiny) is derived from your birth date. Your Life path is the road you are traveling. It reveals the opportunities and challenges you will face in life. Your Life Path number is the single most important information available in your Personality Chart!

If you have the time, you can go ahead and read mine. Most of it are true, and i agreed with it. Lengthy post ahead. I had my Life Path Number from 2 different sources.

Ready for School?

January 6, 08

cbp1048729_veer-copy.jpg

School! School! School! Am i ready for this last 4 weeks of being a Year 2 student? Currently, my mind is thinking of what to do next. There’s some unfinished business that i need to deal with, as soon as possible. Well, i have come this far. Endure this remaining 4 weeks in school and enjoy the long break later before moving on to the final lap. On another note, decision making is always tough. Oh dear.

Anyway, spent the afternoon with Webloggers (read: Me, Wardha, Salbiah, Humairah, Afiqah & Sheikh) at Ms Vivi’s house. Mira wasn’t there. And Venga had to work at TRCC…wait, on a Sunday?! :(

For something random now: The Golden Globe nominations are OUT! Perhaps, i will write an entry on that one soon. 7 days left to the award winning night. & i want to watch August Rush! Now don’t tell me it will not be shown in Singapore?

Movies to watch out for: In Cinemas/Coming Soon
Cate Blanchett in Elizabeth: The Golden Age
Viggo Mortensen in Eastern Promises
Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Denzel Washington in American Gangster
Keira Knightley in Atonement
Casey Affleck in Gone Baby Gone
Angelina Jolie directing (with 3 other directors) The Kite Runner

Reminder to self: School starts tomorrow.

2 Down, 1 more to go!

January 5, 08

2 very important modules in RP, the Creative Engagement module & the Professional Profiling module; you need to pass them in order to graduate. Alhamdullilah, i scored a pass for both modules. All my efforts have paid off. I guess i deserve a pat on the back. Congrats to those who have passed their PP and have completed both modules!

That leaves us to 20 more weeks in Republic Polytechnic (4 weeks left for Year 2 & 16 more weeks for Year 3). I can’t believe it. Our next challenge will be FYP. I’m hoping for the best. I’ll definitely miss the seniors in RP. School will reopen on Monday. I did not even managed to revise my academic stuffs. And, i heard there’s SEG Orientation Camp (26th-27th March 08), recruiting for student leaders and helpers. Woo. If i’m joining this, i wanna be student helpers instead of student leaders.

Watched Little Miss Sunshine again while waiting for FCP to export my team’s music video. However, it is still not completed yet.

Into The Night

January 5, 08

2 teams, 2 music videos, Into The Night.

Camp’s over. Everything the same. The challenge was to make a music video of a local indie song, “Into The Night” by Sea Bed Sound. Transformed the E4 Lecture Theater into a disco. The lip sync was bad though. But we had fun. Spent most of the time with my team, helping them out as and when i can. Oh, and we didn’t even have any group photos, right? Wait – i think i have photos in my digital camera.

*uploading in progress*

Job well done to Azillah, for making this camp possible. You did well, no worries. There will be plenty more opportunities for you and the rest next time. Being a first time Games master/AIC, you handled it relatively well. Glad to share the camp with you and also to the rest who attended the camp (:

Anyway, if any of you would like to check out Sea Bed Sound, please do so. They’re on Myspace. Photos of camp will be uploaded to my photo album soon. In the meantime, here are bits and pieces of the “FFP Camp Or WhaaAt“.

Camp Or WhaAt?!

January 1, 08

FFP Camp Or WhaAt;

mwp0021012_veer.jpg

I’m almost done with packing. Its 3/4 done to be exact. In fact, i hate packing. And i hate to roll the sleeping bags too. Errm, yeah. This time i started my packing one day in advance, which is a positive sign. I pray that this camp will be successful because for the last camp i had, i felt like a failure. Really. Planning for this camp should have started earlier. If someone does not show any interest to the whole planning and organization or simply just could not be bothered, then i suggest one should not wait for him to come back and do the work. Give up his role to someone who deserves it better.

CNA’s Season Greeting;
Have you seen it on TV? There’s a short clip on CNA whereby the news presenters wish their viewers best wishes for the new year. I saw it last night & wo0ts! (2007 Word of The Year). I miss Suzanne Jung. I know its random. Maybe i will write an email to her and wish her a Happy New Year. I wonder if there’s any outings with the fellow journalism peeps. The last time we had a gathering was at Mediacorp Studio. Here’s a picture:

So, i’ll be back on Friday, late afternoon. What can i look forward to after camp? Perhaps the visit to Ms Vivi’s house which can be considered as an EXCO meeting, a day out with my secondary school girlfriends & then school reopens.

Love & Light,
Izzati (:

Hamster Surgery;
My hamster undergo a surgery on the 28th of December. We brought her to the nearest pet clinic in Choa Chu Kang, since we do not want to travel far. Well, almost all the pet clinics in Singapore are the same, right? Maybe some others provide a better consultancy, medication, etc. I don’t know; infact this was the first time we sent our pet to a vet. So, what do you expect? My father already expected to fork around $100++ for our hamster. Let me break it down to you. Do the math.

Consult Standard: $27.00
Surgical Time: $18.00
Isofluorance Gas: $22.50
Safil 4/0 HR22: $15.75
Demotic Ear & Skin Suspension 20ml: 11.55
GST: $6.64

Total Amount: $101.44

But i would rather pay that amount, rather than see our hamster suffer. Imagine what she had to go through if she still had the lump on its ears. It will be discomforting, and there will be blood stains on her paws. Every time i look at its ears, i feel the pain my hamster had to go through. It was our fault that we did not bring her to the vet in the first place.

Thank god, the surgery was successful. The family didn’t know that i cried terribly after the conversation i had with mum. My youngest brother cried at the vet. & my dad honestly told us that he too felt sad for our hamster.

*tears welling up*

Leaving on a Jetplane;
Managed to send my cousin and her family back to Penang as they decided to stay over at Penang for the New Year. & Firas had a fun time too. We played chasing cars with the flight trolleys (?!). Wo0ts! Firas, is tooo cute <3

Xmas Birthday;Part 2

December 31, 07

Firas bin Fadly; my nephew turned 1 on Boxing Day but it was celebrated on Christmas Day, my father’s birthday. It was a birthday party indeed, with great food, games, goodies and presents. The house was well decorated too. It has been a long time i went to a birthday party. The last time i remembered, was when i’m primary school.

It was a Sesame Street birthday party. I’m sure parents would want their child to have a special birthday celebration knowing that its their child first birthday. Well, even though the child would have no idea what’s going (maybe more or less, i guess), i’m sure it will bring back sweet memories when you flip through the photo album/watch the home video,etc. I don’t think i remember exactly my first birthday celebration.

1st-birthday.jpg

Anyway, I felt like a kid again that day. But most importantly, i felt lucky. I guessed its just my luck as i won the ‘Guess the number of candies’ in a bottle. There’s a total of 89 candies & i was the closest with 88 candies. 9 years later, Firas will be 10 years old. What about me? 9 years later, i’ll be 27 years old. My future is still unwritten. Okay, I think i’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Have a 1-derful birthday Firas! :D
